Martin Bronfenbrenner Memorial Lecture

December 5, 1997
Professor Krueger began her lecture with some memories. Among other observations, she reflected:

"Martin is probably the most intellectually curious person I have ever known. If the ideal of the university is to question everything, and to use reason to address it, no one I have ever known has come closer to that ideal."

Professor Krueger concluded by summarizing the key propositions of her lecture, at which time she speculated:

"Martin would like that. That part he would be very happy with. But the last question is whether Martin would agree with me. We know, being Martin, that he could not completely. He'd argue. I can't begin to think what his objections would be, but they would be there, and I'd love to hear them because I would learn something yet again."
