A survey of investments and corporate finance. The basic financial instruments, how they are used, traded, and priced; the financial decision-making processes of the firm: project selection, dividend, and debt policy. ECON271 is not open to students who have taken ECON471, 372, and/or 373. Pre-requisites: ECON101; and STA111, or 130, or 230, or 250, and MATH202 or higher. One course.
