History

Narratives   Individuals

Several narratives have been compiled that record portions of the Department's history. The first is by Frank de Vyver (1979); the second is by Joseph J. Spengler (1982); and the third was recently prepared by William Yohe.

Several individuals have been particularly important to the Department's development and programming. Four of these are noted below; other names will follow.
