Duke Economics Master’s Program Award
for Leadership and Academic Excellence

This award is designed to highlight one or more top Master’s program students who exemplify exceptional leadership and academic achievement. The student(s) is/are chosen by a committee of Economics faculty and staff, who evaluate nominees on several criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership through peer interaction, community activism, volunteering, or university sponsored organizations.
  • Commitment to excellence in the academic arena through contributions and achievements as a student, research assistant or teaching assistant.
  • Continued efforts to enrich themselves as economists through internships, employment, or further study.

The student(s) chosen will be honored at the Economics Graduation Ceremony in Cameron Indoor with a plaque and modest award.
