    Nir Jaimovich joined the Duke faculty in 2010. He is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and an associate editor of both the Journal of European Economics Association and the Review of Economic Dynamics. Professor Jaimovich received his Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University in 2004 and his B.A. in economics and business administration from Hebrew University in 1998. He was an an assistant professor at the University of California, San Diego from 2004-2006 and at Stanford University from 2006-2010.

  • Research Description

    Professor Jaimovich’s research focuses on business cycles and the macroeconomic implications of micro-product level data. His most recent work has been published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Theory, and the Journal of Monetary Economics. He is currently working on projects that explore the labor market, such as job polarization and unemployment, as well as other projects covering sticky prices, movements in real-exchange rates, and effects of taxes on growth.
