Economics of Health Care Markets

This course surveys topics in the industrial organization of health care markets. It covers the production and measurement of health, the supply and demand for health care and health insurance, and the role of competition in health care markets. It uses economic tools and techniques from information economics, industrial organization, public economics, and behavioral economics to address these issues. Theory and empirical work are included. Prerequisite: Economics 201D and Economics 204D
