This course, offered on the Duke in Chicago Finance summer program, examines financial markets and the role of investment banks as intermediaries. Divisions and functions within investment banks: sales and trading, corporate finance, research, and wealth management. Impact of global current events on financial markets around the world, and the importance of Chicago as a global financial center. Visiting speakers from Chicago-based firms provide in-depth analysis of the various roles and opportunities in the Chicago financial arena. Instructor: Caccavale
