Congratulations to Abdulkadiroglu, Arcidiacono, and Rubio-Ramirez

Three faculty members of the economics department were recently promoted. The Department is pleased to announce that Atila Abdulkadiroglu, Peter Arcidiacono and Juan Rubio-Ramirez are now full professors.

A faculty member since 2006, Atila Abdulkadiroglu’s research focuses on mechanism design, market design and economics of education. His research has led to the design and implementation of improved admissions policies in school choice programs in the US, including Boston and New York City. Peter Arcidiacono joined the faculty in 1999 and focuses on labor economics, applied econometrics and applied microeconomics. His two main lines of work examine affirmative action in higher education and estimation of dynamic discrete choice models. Learn more about Professor Arcidiacono.

Juan Rubio-Ramirez became a department faculty member in 2006. He conducts research within the fields of dynamic equilibrium macroeconomic models and time series econometrics. Lately he has also been working on international economic issues, the relationship between volatility and macroeconomic fluctuations, and finance issues. Learn more about Professor Rubio-Ramirez.
