DFE hosts a Markets Discussion Group for undergraduates in the fall semester of each academic year. Every other week, DFE Executive Director John Caccavale facilitates a lively, informal discussion about the markets and the impact of global events. Duke alumni working in the finance industry also join to share their experiences and insights and answer students' questions.
The goal of the Markets Discussion Group is to bring together a diverse group of students who are interested in following the markets together and learning from one another. All students are welcome: all majors, class years, and experience levels in finance. Whether you are a first-year with curiosity about finance but little knowledge of it, a sophomore still deciding on a major who enjoys watching the markets, or a senior who just came out of a Wall Street internship, the Markets Discussion Group has something to offer you.
