The Financial Students Executive Committee (FSEC) was designed to bring together different finance and business groups that often have similar missions but use different means to accomplish them. The group consists of the current heads of each finance club. It is a way to increase communication, collaboration, and cohesion between the financially inclined groups. While much of the focus is on helping underclassmen to learn and attain jobs in the field of finance, the group also centralizes information that each group distributes.

"It is a great opportunity for seniors to give back to Duke and the Duke Financial Economics (DFE) Center community that has nurtured us to the point where we are at today and to provide even better resources, under the tutelage of John Caccavale, Executive Director, and Professor Emma Rasiel, Teaching Director, for future Dukies to come," says FSEC organizer, Steven Blaser.

FSEC hopes to expand the offerings done by the group in the coming year.  This semester, events included a Mock Information Session, Mock Interviews, and the beginning of a Duke Finance Guide, with information, stories, and tips for many different areas of the sector. Finally, the group hopes to host an information session for younger students to find a pathway through the FEP and participate in activities and competitions that will bolster their knowledge and commitment to Duke.
