How has being an Economics graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"I became comfortable with principles that drive business and economic policy and regulatory decisions, which in turn drive businesses’ needs for legal services. My economics background provided me with a solid grounding in the key drivers of policy and sociopolitical movements, all of which impact my work as a regulatory lawyer."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Economics programs?

"Focus on how economics concepts are operating in real life. Even where economics approximates or simplifies complex real-world systems, those principles drive the decisions that ultimately drive social, commercial and geopolitical events."
