Edwin Cooper, M.A. 2005

Vice President of Finance & Business Unit CFO, Change Healthcare – Atlanta GA.

2005 M.A., Economics; MBA, 2007

How has being an Economics graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"My degree taught me how to think critically, evaluate and understand complex business circumstances and even technicalities that I may not have been an expert in said field. I work in Healthcare technology and pharma where critical analytics is a key requirement of Senior Leadership."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Economics programs?

"Seek practical application of degrees - not just theory or hypothetical issues. Also consider and seek a diverse and/or opposing perspectives from you own. The workplace is full of challenges that must be solved in a collaborative manner."
