2014 Major: Economics and Chemistry; MBA (2020)
"Duke Economics taught me how to approach business problems with creativity and critical thinking. I find that, especially as I get more senior and my role involves more decision-making, I rely on the lessons I learned at Duke to move forward. Duke Economics gave me a framework that I lean on heavily when I consider both personal and professional tradeoffs and real-world optimizations."
"Be yourself. You might not know where you want to go long term, and that is okay! My goal when I graduated was to make partner at a consulting firm, and make as much money as possible - clearly that has changed :) It's ok to have open-ended goals, and it's ok to be open with yourselves that those will change. How you grow as a person, professional, and community citizen while you pursue those goals is what shapes you and makes the world a better place. Lean on the Duke alumni network - it is very very robust, and we are a close group. I'll always help a fellow Blue Devil out in any way that I can. Don't be afraid to ask for help / favors from those who came before you - I still do the same, to this day, even long removed from my undergraduate days."
