Identifying, measuring, and dealing with risk factors faced by firms in increasingly complex financial system. Course examines major types of financial risks faced by firms and introduces models for measuring, and frameworks for managing risk, and the main tools used in financial risk management, with application to real-world examples and case studies. Assessment of models, tools and frameworks for managing various risks. Attention given to role of public policy in shaping practice of risk management. Prerequisite: Economics 201D and 210D.
