Guns don't kill people, people kill people, right? Not so, say Chicago Professor Jens Ludwig, alumnus of the Duke Economics Ph.D. program, and Duke Professor Philip Cook.
The two researchers recently wrote an article for The Washington Post in which they address persistent myths in the U.S. about gun control.
Ludwig is now the McCormick Foundation professor of social service administration, law and public policy at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on social policy, specifically in the areas of urban poverty, education, crime and housing.
Cook is the ITT/Terry Sanford professor of public policy and also teaches economics and sociology at Duke.
